#1 DISCIPLINE
Low carbon construction
Low carbon construction with a logical design intent, care is given to the selection and source of construction materials, taking into account the life cycle of each building.
Richez_Associés was one of the first practices to join the Hub des Prescripteurs Bas Carbone, a group organised by the Institut Français pour la Performance du Bâtiment (IFPEB) which brings together clients and architects looking for the best cost/carbon balance for their projects.
This objective is shared by our staff. To build low carbon by proposing an architecture which is both aesthetic and cost effective, adaptable, energy efficient which takes advantage of climate to ensure thermal comfort and enjoyment of buildings.
2021 Séquences Bois ranked Richez_Associés 2nd as French practice committed to low-carbon construction.
Thomas Richez, Richez_Associés Partner « Low carbon construction? Foremost bioclimatic construction which considers sun within a building as an asset. Of course, it means favouring natural construction materials to enhance the architecture. »
