Le Havre
The Citadel
At the heart of the Le Havre archipelago, the Citadel Peninsula—historically dedicated to port activities—is today composed of 70% various “empty” spaces (car parks, roadways, lorry lanes for ferries, etc.).

Its redevelopment profoundly rethinks and redefines the City/Port interface: it is a key urban component linking Auguste Perret’s reconstructed city centre and the Saint-François district to the outskirts of Saint-Nicolas and the Docks.

The development framework is simultaneously spatial, urban, and port-related. The project reinforces the site’s historical identity while breathing new life into it, carefully addressing the environmental challenges posed by its location between river and sea.
